Giving at Hope Bible Chapel

Giving is an act of worship.

It’s one of the ways we respond to God’s grace, recognizing that everything we have ultimately comes from Him and belongs to Him. When we give, we’re not just supporting a church; we’re participating in what God is doing through His people.

“Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7

WHY WE GIVE

1. Because God Has First Given to Us

Our generosity flows from the generosity of God.

“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.” — 2 Corinthians 8:9

We don’t give out of obligation, we give in response to the gospel.

2. To Support the Work of Ministry

Giving fuels the mission of the church.

“Let the one who is taught the word share all good things with the one who teaches.” Galatians 6:6

Through your giving, we’re able to preach the Word, disciple people, invest in the next generation, and reach our community with the hope of Jesus.

3. To Grow in Trust and Dependence on God

Giving is a tangible way we trust God with our lives.

“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce.” Proverbs 3:9

It helps shape our hearts, loosening our grip on things and strengthening our dependence on Him.

4. Because It Reflects an Eternal Perspective

Our giving is an investment in what lasts forever.

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth… but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven.” Matthew 6:19–20

We give because we believe God is doing something bigger than what we can see.

OUR HEART

We believe giving should be:

Voluntary — never pressured or compelled

Joyful — an act of worship, not obligation

Faithful — consistent and intentional

Whether you’re exploring faith or have called Hope Bible Chapel home for years, we want you to know: you are welcome here, and giving is simply one part of following Jesus.
